Description
We present natural nettle essential oil for perfumery, which comes from the species with the botanical name Urtica dioica. The product is known as Nettle natural essential oil for perfumery. The composition of the oil consists solely of the volatile compounds of the plant. The volatile compounds come only from the leaves, because natural cultivation keeps the raw material free of foreign impurities. Impurities of external origin remain outside the product, which accepts only its own ingredients without preservatives and colourants. The ingredients originate from plantations in Bulgaria, whose conditions fall within the temperate biome that botanists identify as the natural range of the entire species. The range of the species covers the temperate parts of Europe and Asia, where the plant thrives as a perennial rhizomatous herb with a creeping underground rhizome. The plant takes its place in the family Urticaceae, alongside other herbaceous species of the same genus. The species of the family yield leaves, which steam distillation turns into a clear liquid with a pale yellow tint and uniform density throughout the entire volume. The pale yellow tint comes from the leaf pigments, more precisely from their fat-soluble constituents, which pass into the liquid phase. The liquid phase carries a fresh fragrance with earthy depth. The fragrance retains a delicate herbal volume, as steam distillation separates the light aromatic carriers and sets aside the dense non-volatile substances. The delicate volume combines with a clear liquid and the natural origin of the raw material. The raw material grows without intervention and maintains an entirely natural base for the nettle oil.

Application

Nettle essential oil is used in perfumery to build fresh and green notes in aromatic compositions with a natural character. It introduces herbaceous and slightly earthy accents that add depth and natural freshness both to light spring and summer fragrances and to compositions for everyday wear with a clean and unobtrusive profile. The oil is suitable for unisex fragrances and for compositions intended for both men and women, adding green touches and a sense of closeness to nature. The light spicy nuance of its aroma allows the creation of dynamic and refreshing compositions suitable for an active everyday life. It blends harmoniously with citrus, floral, woody and spicy notes, helping to balance the freshness of the citrus elements and the depth of the herbaceous accords. With its help, fine and elegant fragrances with a herbal expression, spring compositions with character, as well as fragrances with airy notes are created, in which the green accent remains delicate yet distinct. The oil also contributes to warming fresh compositions with a slight earthy nuance, to emphasising the greenness in the aromatic profile and to achieving a sense of cleanliness and lightness in the finished composition.

Storage

Store natural nettle essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the container, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for perfumery from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
